A long-time friend and co-worker wants me to help him prototype a web application. I started on web app programming but most of my time now goes into Cocoa. So every once in a while I stop back in to see what's up. SproutCore and has recently popped up as a great client-side framework, but that's only half the equation

I had a chance to meet real, full-blooded wolves this past weekend so I went and took some pics. I wasn't sure what the arrangement would be — initially thinking they'd be fenced off somewhere, but it turns out I got face to face with them. These aren't hybrids wolf-dogs, they're the real deal

Xcode 3.1 has an updated version of the "Open Quickly" dialog. The purpose of the dialog has always been to jump to a specific header file, but the UI has been changed to make it far more effective. It probably seems like a minor feature overall, but it's something that you may use dozens of times per day

There's already so much good material in the App Store that's it hard to pick favorites. There are a few I've spent some time with already, though, and one in particular was a incredible surprise. This isn't a full list in any way, just a few things I've enjoyed so far

Sometimes it's worth mentioning a side project that doesn't directly relate to Mac or iPhone development. Play Flag Football (this isn't the one I designed) is a non-profit youth football league in the SF Bay Area that I help out in a number of different ways. This time, it was a site design for a record-breaking flag football event
