Why should Apple have totally discontinued the Win32 branch in the code? ... Once you have the basics working, the frameworks should run
Getting things working well on WinXP might be harder than you think. Where's the analog for all the complex graphics that Quartz can do? What about all the supporting frameworks that most modern Cocoa apps need? Do you just have a ginormous runtime?
It could, of course, be done in some fashion if Apple was wanted to. The question is would the results be good on WinXP? Most importantly, what reason is there to do it?
