I'm not as upset about not being given Apple's custom controls as I am when I look at my open apps and see Mail with its own style, iPhoto with its own style, iTunes 7 with its own style, and Safari with its own style. It's just a little weird to see different styles every year with no public word on use or future direction. Do you stick with Aqua today? Do you roll your own emulation of iLife's or Mail's style? Do you wait and see if Leopard will provide standardized versions? And if you're a smaller guy like me who couldn't go to WWDC, you wonder what other people know that you don't.
