Spot On. Most apps will never make it past the 1 or 2 box setup anyways so the hardware point is moot, and if you do make it past that inital hurdle, you would need to refactor your code to scale up anyways, so having a clean, easy to modify codebase in RoR will make scaling easier and faster, which will keep your customers happy.
