The battery indicator takes a hit when you record in HD or play back on an HDTV (freakin' gorgeous picture btw...) but it jumps back when you're done.
I'd really like an external AC adapter for HD playback but there's no port.
Is there such a thing as an AC adapter that comes in the form factor of two AA batteries? (Think of those sealed battery packs you see for wireless phones, but the pigtail would go to an external AC adapter...) You'd slip in the pack, plug it into the AC adapter, but the camera would think it's on battery power when in fact it's getting 2 x 1.4 volts via the adapter.
What's the white square at the bottom for? (Near the tripod mount.)
