Check out appcelerator.org. Seems to offer an awesome way to bridge the gap between client-side Javascript and services (as in SOA) on the server-side. I think this is the future of the web...

...except for maybe long-running web apps that need to feel just like desktop apps, which is why I'm currently looking at Cappuccino.
