For whatever it's worth, and that likely isn't much, the Model T was manufactured in many colors other than black for many but not all years it was produced. It was the case, however, that color wasn't completely customizable: certain colors were tied to certain configurations of styles and features (two door vs. four door, etc). Not unlike, say, the variety of color but limited link between colors and feature sets for, say, Apple products.
