My boss and his wife are both alpha geeks, and they love their kids' Nintendo DS. She does a little Brain Age every morning to get jumpstarted. I'd never laid eyes on a DS until they showed theirs to me. I was surprised at what a pleasant, friendly gadget it felt like, in a Mac-like way. And not too expensive. One of these days maybe I'll get one for myself. Usually I start my day with a crossword, but sometimes I do the next day's crossword the night before, leaving me with no puzzle in the morning. It'd be nice to have a little gadget friend that I know is always there to engage my mind.
