I've never heard of some of these -- any links? Can't find PENDAS in Google, for instance.

Whilst I haven't heard of it before, from the ADA page at Apple, it's actually called PEMDAS. Looks very nice, I'm currently using Soulver as my calculator, and could be a better solution for quicker sums.
