I question the claim that using a mouse + keyboard is faster than using a keyboard alone.
I've worked on dozens of systems and _never_ obtained numbers that indicated the use of a mouse sped data entry. Purely keyboard entry wins every time.
The mouse is useful only if there is a graphically-oriented task to perform, e.g., CAD drawing entry.
I'm surprised at how few posts have questioned this most ridiculous assertion.
