Acorn is a lot like a refreshing sip of Tab after slogging down a venti triple-mocha-creamy-latte.
It's lean, fast, smart, and requires no byzantine Adobe install and activation/deactivation/re-un-activation/updater-updating or any of that crap.
It makes me realize how much I loved Photoshop...3.0.
Oh, and for added image-as-object amazingness, inject an F-script interpreter and go to town.
