Acorn is very promising, but until the export feature for web images with proper optimization (which the developer is working on) is complete, it can't do one of the tasks for which I most want to pick it up.
Tablet support is there, but so-so; I wish I could use Acorn for a sketching app, and it's so close.
It also firs up the fans on the MacBook something fierce, and seems to choke on larger images - I have had the MacBook/Acorn freeze temporarily whe working with larger images.
All things (I hope) will be addressed as the app matures. But otherwise, it's clever and defeinitely worth a try.
