GNUstep Redesign in Progress
After a recent thread on the GNUstep webmasters mailing list, I realized that the design I did for the site two years ago is getting a bit stale. I took a few off-peak hours the other day to put together something new.Big version available on Tree House Ideas downloads.
Adam seems to like it, and I think it's a good design. There are at least a few tweaks I have to make, and I need to come up with a secondary page design, but this should be straightforward.
One of the comments from the thread that stood out in my head is that the current site is mainly aimed at the existing base, and doesn't attempt to reach out to new users. I think this is valid criticism, so I oriented the design around making GNUstep more accessible.
I also think GNUstep needs some "flagship" tutorials that are the first point of contact for new developers and users. Adam added on to this by suggesting separating the user and developer sites, which I think makes a lot of sense.

Sound fine to me. I'm not involved in any of that, though, so it's easy for me to agree. :)
