Presenter for July 12 CocoaHeads

It's been a busy week. There's no planned topic for CocoaHeads tomorrow night, but I'd still like to try to find one. If anyone would like to volunteer, send me an email. I'd personally be interested in hearing from any icon designers in the area.

Which room will the meeting be in this month?

Chris Hanson has set us up with Town Hall in Building 4.

I'm guessing the same bat-time of 7:30 like what's posted on the Cocoaheads site?

I might be able to get Historian to the point of a quick demo of progress, but it's still got some last-minute bugs that I need to iron out first.

Yes, 7:30pm.

You know, it would really be cool if someone could record these presentations and put them up as a Podcast or something.

There are those of us who live far, far away from any CocoaHeads chapters that would be interested.

I know. However, it's not nearly as organized as many people seem to think, and it's not trivial to orchestrate the recording. It's not a matter of not caring, it's that it's not just a matter of flipping a switch. That said, the request is heard loud and clear.

At least now it's in the presentation room in building 4, which has all the cameras in place, but recording's probably the easiest portion. Issues of sound (microphones), editing, and hosting would remain.

Would the podcast just be on the theme presentation? The 'here's my app' bits would be tough, since it's more Q&A back and forth.

The equipment is there, but the booth is not staffed at the time we hold the meetings.

Can't we just use an applescript to do all the work? (I kid! Well, mostly.)
