You've probably heard of 280 Slides, which is an exceptionally polished Keynote-like presentation app for the web. The creators, 280 North, today published the framework and language used to create it, called Cappuccino and Objective-J, respectively. I only had a few hours to play with both, so keep in mind this is a very early review

A local non-profit youth football league had a fundraiser this weekend, called Marathon Flag Football. The event set a new world record for the longest continually-played flag football game — over 24 hours. I wrote the game clock, and it turns out Core Animation is fantastic for this

The Kodak Zi6 is a handheld, flash-memory-based video camera. You press the power button, wait about a second for it to start up, then hit the record button. Hit the record button again and the video is saved. Just plug it into a USB port and drag the video files to the desktop

A long-time friend and co-worker wants me to help him prototype a web application. I started on web app programming but most of my time now goes into Cocoa. So every once in a while I stop back in to see what's up. SproutCore and has recently popped up as a great client-side framework, but that's only half the equation
